Information we handle
- Website enquiries: the name, service selected and description you enter in an enquiry form. The form prepares a message in your browser and opens WhatsApp; it does not send the form to an RS Gold website database. You choose whether to send the prepared message. If you continue in WhatsApp, WhatsApp and the workshop receive the information you send there.
- Other enquiries: information you choose to share by phone, WhatsApp, email or in person, which may include contact details, jewellery descriptions and photos.
- Workshop records: details needed to identify and keep your item separate while work is underway, and records needed to follow up or maintain ordinary business records.
- Workshop CCTV: video and audio are recorded continuously throughout workshop areas. A notice is displayed at the workshop. The system is used for security and to review incidents; only the proprietor can access recordings. Footage is manually deleted and is normally retained for at least six months. Relevant footage may be kept longer when needed to review an incident or meet a legal obligation.
- Technical website data: when a page is requested, the hosting and security provider may process technical details such as an IP address, browser or device information, the page requested and the time of the request to deliver and protect the site.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details and photos only to respond to your enquiry, assess the service requested and provide that service. The website does not take bookings or payments. Workshop records help us identify your item, follow up with you and maintain business records. We use CCTV for workshop security and incident review. We do not use enquiry details, contact information or customer photos for promotional messages or public marketing.
When information goes to another service
- WhatsApp: enquiry forms open WhatsApp with a message you can review and send. Calls, messages and photos you choose to share are handled through WhatsApp. See WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
- Google: the site embeds a Google Maps map and displays public business review information retrieved from Google. When Google content loads, Google may receive technical information from your browser under its own privacy policy. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery and security services and may process technical request information for those purposes. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
We do not currently include advertising or analytics tracking scripts in the website code. External services may use their own technologies and privacy practices when you interact with their content or follow a link to them.
How long we keep information
Enquiry conversations, item records and business records are kept only as needed for follow-up and ordinary business recordkeeping, or longer where required to resolve a matter or comply with law. CCTV footage is manually deleted and is normally retained for at least six months, as described above. Technical data handled by hosting or external services is subject to those providers’ retention practices.
Your choices and requests
You can choose whether to send an enquiry message or share photos. You can also contact us to ask what information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, or request deletion. We will consider requests under applicable law and may need to retain information for business records, an open matter or a legal requirement. To make a request, contact Abu Abrar using the phone number or email above.
If you do not want to be recorded by workshop CCTV, please contact us before entering so we can discuss how to handle your visit.
Children
For ear piercing services for a child, a parent or legal guardian must be present and approve the service. A parent or guardian should make any related enquiry and share only information needed for that enquiry.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with its updated date.
